Stonewall riots

Happened in New York, on July 3, 1969.

• It was popular among the poorest and most marginalized people in the gay community: drag queens, representatives of the transgender community, effeminate young men, hustlers, and homeless youth.
• The Stonewall raid, in contrast, was to take place late on a Friday night, when crowd sizes were expected to be at their highest.
• Involved Stormé DeLarverie, Miss Major Griffin-Gracy and Marsha P. Johnson.

Lambeau Field

Opened in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on September 29, 1957.

• Lambeau Field is the oldest continually operating NFL stadium.
• Only the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park and the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field have longer active home-field tenures in American professional sports.
• While Soldier Field in Chicago is older, the Bears did not play their home games there until 1971 and the team did not play there during stadium renovations in 2002.

2022 FIFA World Cup Final

Happened in Qatar, on December 18, 2022.

• Mbappé scored a second penalty to tie the game 3–3 with just a few minutes remaining, becoming the second male player to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final after Geoff Hurst in 1966.
• During extra time, Messi scored again to give Argentina a 3–2 lead.
• En route to the final, Argentina finished first in Group C, first losing to Saudi Arabia 2–1, then defeating both Mexico and Poland 2–0.

UEFA Euro 2020 finals

Happened in United Kingdom, on July 11, 2021.

• In front of a crowd of 67,173, limited by COVID-19 restrictions, with an estimated global audience of 328 million, England's Luke Shaw opened the scoring in the second minute of the match, the fastest goal ever scored in a European Championship final.
• After the match, England's unsuccessful penalty takers (Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka) were subjected to racial abuse on social media, which was investigated by the Metropolitan Police.
• With the score 1–1 after extra time, England gained a 2–1 advantage in the penalty shoot-out after two kicks each, but their last three takers all missed, and Italy won 3–2.

Sphere (venue)

Opened in Nevada, on September 29, 2023.

• Sphere measures 366 feet (112 m) high and 516 feet (157 m) wide; it would be the largest spherical building on Earth, if it were not a geodesic dome.
• The arena cost $2.3 billion, making it the most expensive entertainment venue built in the Las Vegas Valley.
• Sphere opened on September 29, 2023, with Irish rock band U2 beginning a 40-show residency called U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere.
